Rebecca Romijn, an American actor who was previously a model, is most well-known for her role as Mystique, the character from the very first three-part episode' of the American superhero show X-Men. Romijn was also in another Marvel superhero filmtitled "The Punisher.' She played the character of Joan. Romijn began her modeling career at 16. Since then, she has posed for major companies including Christian Dior Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret. She spent a decade modeling for major fashion houses, before quitting that field of profession to concentrate on her acting career. Romijn has enjoyed a much better success on TV than Hollywood.
